500 Years of Christianity Countdown

“At a tender age he was brought by Joseph and Mary to Egypt. He was a refugee. No wonder he had special spot in his heart for the outsiders .How many times did he prays not those who belong to Israel but the outsiders. When I was homeless you welcomed me , that’s the reason , hindi tayo nakikialam, this is an imperative of faith. If we see Jesus, every migrants, every refugee we can say I have Christian DNA and I see Jesus in them. I will never forget,” pagninilay ni Kardinal Tagle.

“That’s why many people now I think many migrants are categorized according not the first category people who migrate because they chose the place where they want to live , many of the migrants are classified as forced migrants. And they go to a place that they have not chosen as an ideal place for their lives , but because there is a job opportunity there sige na lang I will go there. And because of that heaviness of heart they begin their new life as migrants already enveloped by a certain darkness.

“The whole world is being challenge by this phenomenon . Where is humanity ? where is the human hearts , where do we find mercy and compassion .? where? And in a descent society no one socially the most vulnerable should be taken advantage of. And right now the most vulnerable in our world are the migrants , the forced migrants and the the refugees. Open your hearts open your eyes , hear the call of mercy and compassion . see Jesus , see Jesus in every refugee,” malaking hamon ni Cardinal Tagle
