Q: ano po ang dahilan/katwiran sa inilabas na pastoral statement ng cbcp?

A: siguro naman maliwanag yung first 5 nung statement na we are not politician we are shepherds so we are doing our role as shepherds at hindi kami nais na pumasok sa mga usaping political, sinasabi ng una bakit daw katulad ni cardinal sin mayroon tayong dalawang edsa na tinawag nya..unang-unang ibang iba ang sitwasyon noong edsa 1 at 2 ay napakalayo ng comparison and then ang malaking pagbabago nito ng dumating si pope benedict the 16th, he issued his 1st encyclical deus caritas es, ay very clear guidelines for us to follow as regards the relationship of the church and politics, at ditto I will sight no.28, sabi ng santo papa maliwanag na maliwanag, na ito ay niremind ko din sa mga Obispo sa aming meeting..the church cannot and must not take upon themselves the political battle to bring about the most just society possible, kahit na yung ninanais natin magkaroon ng pinakang makatarungang lipunan, so even if we have the best intentions to establish the most just society possible the church cannot and must not take upon herself in  a political battle napakaliwanag non, so yung halimbawa na pagtawag ng resignation ng presidente political battle yan, pagtawag ng protest action yung mga tinatawag nating people power political battle yan –the church cannot and must not yun ang sabi sa atin ng Santo Papa. Me kasunod pa yan sabi nya she cannot and must not replace the state, so the state has to act independent of the church and the church cannot intervene in the affairs of the state, even to the point of replacing the state, so maliwanag yung paradigm.

Q: maganda ang puntos ng cbcp, paano kapag di sumunod ang Pangulo particular sa pagbasura ng eo 464?

A: then we continue with the ‘power of persuasion’, di naman sinasabi na walang gagawin ang simbahan, sinasabi din dito sa ensiklikal at the same time she cannot and must not remain on the sideline in the fight of justice ang role ang natin ditto ay sabi ng papa ay rational argument at yung spiritual mean no, na sinasabi without spiritual energy there would be no justice kaya ang panawagan natin unang una panalangin, communal prayer, communal discernment, communal decision no, dun umiinog siguro yung role ng simbahan, then we will try to monitor until the voice of the people for what we are clamoring for truth and for integrity in government, pero hanggang dun lang tayo sa rational argument. And then yung batas namin e di yung promotion of the gospel values so truth is a gospel value, integrity is a gospel value and justice is a gospel value so dapat nating pangalagaan ito, and that is what we call for continuing search for truth para maging honest lahat not only on the part of the government, but also on the part of those who are accusing the government, nasan ba ang katibayan nila so puro allegations and allegations can just simply reputed because they are not supported by proofs.

Q: naniniwala ba/kakayanin ba ng Pangulo na pangunahan ang paglaban sa katiwalian?

A: ang panawagan talaga ay communal conversion lahat tayo nangangailangan ng pagbabalik loob not just in the season of lent. So hindi lang yung pinagsususpetsahan natin na gumagawa ng katiwalian tayo ring lahat may katiwalian sa sarili nating buhay, tayo na halimbawa sa simula pa sa mga bata kailangang imulat sila sa mabuting asal sa pagmamahal sa katotohanan. Ang pagshort cut ay hindi tamang solusyon yung nagmamadali tayo ang hinihingi natin ay kahit itoy mabagal ..slow but sure sisikapin natin na magkaroon talaga ng tunay na pagbabago at eto naman ang approach ng simbahan we respect the freedom of the individual again and again call for the renewal and conversion so yun ang way of the church. With patience we will arrive at everything, mga gospel values yan, patience, reflection…hindi pagmamadali. Nagmamadali ka wala namang prayer, inner conversion wala ring mangyayari. Maaring ma-achieve mo externally yung gusto mong gawin, pero yung mangyayari sa lipunan pagkatapos, look what happened after edsa 1, after edsa 2 naroon pa rin ang corruption. Yun ang gusto ng mga Obispo na sabihin na magsimula tayo sa basic sa ating mga bata, paaralan, pamilya sa ating sariling buhay.
